We have decided, as a business, not to offer school tours at this time.
We are very excited about our Pollinator Tour! Students will learn about the importance of pollinating insects, and their impact on everyday life. Come hear the buzz about honeybees, see the beauty of butterflies, and understand their importance to our survival. Learn the parts of a bee and check out our hive equipment to discover how honey is produced. Students will also learn about the Monarch Butterfly and its epic annual 2,500 mile migration to Mexico. See if your students can identify the parts of a flower in our demo garden, and see if they can find any pollination occurring. This tour is for students 6 years and older.
The Pollinator Field Trip (June-mid-Sept) is $12 per person, and includes:
- Butterfly life-cycle and fun facts
- Honeybee discovery and fun facts
- Flower identification and pollination presentation
- Greenhouse tour and planting
- Wagon ride around the farm
- 2 ounce jar of honey to take home
- Gross motor work-out in our farm play area after your tour
Don’t forget to exercise in our 5-acre play area! Our 2800 sq ft Pumpkin Jumpin’ Pillow, Double Barrel 80-foot slides, and rope swings will make your heart race! You can become a Maze Master by challenging each of our 4 mazes. See who can climb up the Rubber Ridge tractor tire mountain the fastest, or go for a romp in our Corn Bin.
With each of our school trips, one teacher receives complimentary admission for every 15 students, with a minimum of 15 students.
Tours are available Tuesdays-Fridays.
We are here rain or shine, and there are several covered areas available to shelter your group from inclement weather.
Please bring water for your group. We strongly recommend a large cooler with cups.
Complimentary admission is not applicable for children(3ys & older) of CSA/Fan of the Farm Members, and Military ID Holders for School Tours. Promotional offers are not applicable for School Tours.
