NEW this year- Watermelon Carving Competition- County Fair Style. Can you carve a lovely watermelon basket creation? Carve your own watermelon at home and bring it to enter the competition to see how you stack up. Grand prize is a quarterly Farm Season Pass for September-November 2026!
Watermelon Festival – Schedule of Fun!
- 9am-5pm – Visit the farm animals & feed the goats
- 9am- 5pm – Romp in our 15 acre play area
- 11am – 8pm Watermelon Crawl – Visit all 3 locations – Bluemont Vineyard, Dirt Farm Brewing & The Henway Cider Barn to Sip Watermelon Libations and then drop your punch card to win raffle prizes!
- 11am -1pm – Watermelon Carving Contest Entries may be dropped off at The Roosteraunt
- 11:30am – Watermelon Eating Contest
- 12pm – Watermelon Seed Spitting Showdown
- 1pm – Family Water Games
- 2pm – Watermelon Smash Show – a la Gallagher & Watermelon Carving Contest Winners Announced
- 4pm – Doxie Derby (Saturday, August 29th only)
Take a wagon ride through our regenerative farm fields, visit with our friendly goats, and challenge yourself on the Farm Ninja obstacle course, giant slides, and jumping pillow. Our 15-acre play area is open 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Tickets at the Gate are $16 per guest.
After a sun-soaked day on the farm, keep the fun going with tastings of craft wine, cider, and beer at our sister properties—just down the road in scenic Bluemont. Join the Watermelon Crawl to savor watermelon libations at each of our experience Bluemont properties and drop your punch card at your last stop to win raffle prizes!!
